Blackthorn Derby – Polished by Classic Canes. Blackthorn is one of the most sought-after woods for traditional country and hiking sticks. It is a large flowering bush named for the dark color of the thorns. Every stick is unique because of the individual piece of wood from which the shaft is made. The bark has been removed and polished to give a beautiful sheen to the shaft and make the grain pattern visible. The handle is made from maple wood. Finished with brass collar joins and non-slip rubber ferrule. The beautiful derby handle offers excellent support to the hand and may be hooked over the arm when not in use. Overall height: 36″. Weight: 360g. Made in England.

Classic Canes supplies over 700 walking sticks, seat sticks, and umbrellas to approximately 40 countries. Their collection of canes includes everyday, orthopedic, folding walking sticks, seat sticks, shooting sticks, capsules, and golf umbrellas. Also, Classic Canes made their mark for ladies’ fashionable walking sticks. They introduced them to the British market in the 1980s.
Classic Canes Limited is a British family business. The company was established in 1982 by Ben and Diana Porter. Charlotte, the managing director, is their daughter and has worked at Classic Canes since 2003. She is the artist behind many of their patterned walking sticks and canes. They are based in Somerset, England.
